After we all got settled into our new homes, the entire family stopped by for a surprise baby shower. Grandma whipped up some food with her magic.
Everyone had to take turns feeling my enormous baby bump.
A few days later I was tending to Starburst when I went into labor. The pain was like nothing I had ever felt before.
I used my mersim powers to summon Melody.
When she arrived she had a small pool with her.
“You will need to be in water during the birth,” she said. “Otherwise you could quickly become dehydrated.”
Melody contacted a midwife who came and guided us through the entire delivery. It was incredibly painful.
But the minute the midwife handed over my son, I knew it was all worth it.
Melody and I decided to name him River after the body of water as well as the River Otter.
We both love being parents and River is such a wonderful baby.
Luna also adores River and will keep guard over him all night long.
Now that it is spring and the pond on my property is warm, Melody has decided to stay for awhile. I am really enjoying having her here and can admit that I have fallen deeply in love with her.
I just threw this picture in because I thought it looked so romantic.
Every morning, I get up and spend time with River. We just became good friends and I reached level 2 in the parenting skill.
Then I spent time with the animals, including my new fully grown cow plant.
I named her Io after a Naiad nymph, daughter of Inachus and Argia. She was a lover of Zeus before being forced to wander the earth in the form of a heifer.
I brushed and fed Starburst. I can’t wait until she is old enough to ride.
Then Luna and I practiced the agility course. Her time is getting better and better.
Then I made sure Io was fed. I don’t want her to eat anyone.
Before I knew it, 3 months had gone by and little River had aged into an adorable infant. He has the calm trait and a gassy quirk. I can’t wait to see what is in store for all of us next.
